Regulation of Cellular Identity during Cancer Progression
The Snyder Lab at UCSF
When normal cells sustain oncogenic mutations, their identity begins to change. Our lab studies the mechanisms that regulate cancer cell identity, or differentiation state. We use this knowledge to determine how changes in cancer cell identity impact cancer progression and response to targeted therapies. Our integrative experimental approach to these questions utilizes studies of sophisticated mouse models of cancer and analysis of primary human tumors.
